How do I program a Dish Network remote to control other equipment?

To program the Dish Network Remote Control to a TV, DVD or VCR the subscriber has to follow the step-by-step procedure enlisted below

1. Find out the Remote code (three digit number) for the brand of TV, VCR or any other equipment.
2. Hold the mode button(TV, VCR or AUX) for about six seconds till all mode button back lights is on.
3. Enter the three digit remote code pertaining to the equipment (Four digit number for AUX mode). The back light will blink when each digit is pressed then turn on continuously. For AUX mode push 0 for TV, 1 for VCR/DVD and 2 for any other device.
4. Press the Hash (#) button to check whether the code entered is valid. If the code is valid then the mode light will flash for three times.
5. To check whether the code works, press the mode button. Try some other functions for that equipment. Try ther remote codes given for the device till you get it, which provides more complete functionality.
6. If the remote still does not function the equipment, then the Dish Network remote may not be compatible with the equipment.
