According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Dish Network, the digital entertainment satellite TV service provider in the United States is awarded No.1 in Customer satisfaction among other satellite TV and Cable companies.
In the survey taken in this year, Dish Network has scored nearly 71 for their customer satisfaction and gradually there is a increase of seven point from 2009 and the industry has reached the average of 66 in 2010. Dish Network has scored three points more than its competitor DirecTV, Four points higher than Cox, 10 points higher than Comcast and Time Warner and 11 points higher than charter. Phone connections such as Verizon and AT & T has rated highest along with their scores 73 and 72 respectively.
Along with the highest scores for customer satisfaction among satellite and cable companies, Dish Network has topped satellite and cable in customer satisfaction and loyalty. Dish Network has received complaints in the entire industry for the second year in a row. It has advanced in areas of customer expectations and perceived quality, with scores above the industry average.
With reference to Dish Network Tops Satellite and Cable in American Customer Satisfaction Index, Charlie Ergen, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dish Network said, “Dish Network’s dramatically improved ranking in the ACSI survey is testimony to the considerable strides we made over the past year to re-establish our leadership in customer service”. He also added, “We know our customers have many choices when it comes to TV, which is why we remain committed to provide them with best-in-class service at an unmatched value”.
The American Customer Satisfaction Index is a national economic indicator that evaluates the quality of subscriber’s products and services available to U.S household consumers. It also reflects subscriber’s overall satisfaction with the service. The ACSI survey is produced by the stephen M.Ross Business School at the University of Michigan, along with the partnership of American Society for quality and the international consulting firm CFI Group.
