  • Press the PIP button for three times that will open, enlarge and arrange the windows side by side.
  • To choose the new location press the position button that will move the PIP window.
  • Press the Swap button to change the viewed program from the PIP window to the main window.
  • The screen will split in to side by side PIP, by pressing the position button while viewing full screen.

What is Single mode?

  • In Single mode when the shared view is enabled TV1 and TV2 subscribers can watch the same program. Satellite receiver will be operated by TV2 remote. PIP will be available by pressing the PIP button on the remote control.
  • In Single mode when the shared view is Disabled TV1 subscribers can watch the programming and the TV2 subscribers can see only the black screen with screen saver. Satellite receiver will not be operated by TV2 remote. PIP will be available by pressing the PIP button on the remote control. This prevents kids from viewing any program at all.

What is Dual mode?

TV1 ans TV2 subscribers can feel independent TV viewing in Dual mode with shared view enabled or disabled. Even subscribers can watch different programming. Both subscribers can access the hard drive to record or view recorded programs, can access the same program at the same time without interference with the other viewer.

  • Press the mode button on the front of the receiver. The Amber mode light moves to single.
  • Press Menu : 6 for system setup and 2 for shared view in the remote.

How to solve the problem with the satellite receivers Caller ID?

Symptoms :

When receiving an incoming phone call Caller ID information is not displayed on the TV screen.

Possible causes :

  • Caller ID service may not be subscribed with the phone service provider.
  • DSL filters may be missing.
  • There may be failure in phone line equipment.
  • The satellite receiver feature may not be enabled.
  • Satellite receiver has been unplugged from the power outlet or satellite signal for several days
  • The home’s phone wiring is not properly grounded.

Troubleshooting :

  • Check whether caller ID is subscribed with subscribers Phone company or not.
  • Check whether Caller Id feature is enabled on the satellite receiver or not. If not Press Menu button on the Dish Network remote. Select System setup from the main menu, Select Installation from the System setup Menu.
  • Select Caller ID then On.
  • Choose Done to save the changes.
  • To exit all the menu screens at once press VIEW TV button.
  • Be sure that working phone line is connected to the satellite receiver and DSL filter is connected on the phone jack and phone line.
  • Make sure the Telephone setup on the satellite receiver is set up correctly.
  • Press Menu button on the remote control.
  • Select System setup then Installation and then Select Telephone system.
  • In the Telephone system screen select the appropriate prefix option for ‘Outside Line’.
  • Some telephone service areas require a number code before dialing an outside line.
  • Select the prefix option and enter the number code required in the prefix box when it is necessary, if not make sure that “No Prefix” option is selected.
  • Choose the option for Phone type and Wireless jack equipment.
  • When the satellite receiver is unplugged for several days, then verify the proper cable connections and then power off the satellite receiver for 15 minutes to update the service.

  • To open the Main Menu, press the Menu button on the remote.
  • Select Favorites option and then select the desired Favorite list
  • Check mark will appear next to the selected list to indicate the selection.
  • Select Modify list.
  • Highlight the desired channel from the channel list by check mark that appears next to the channel number.
  • Use the Up or Down arrow or enter three digit channel number to bring the desired channel in to view.
  • Select the save option to save all the changes to the Favorites list

How to Edit List name?

  • To open the Main Menu, press the Menu button on the remote.
  • Select Favorites then Select the desired Favorite list
  • Check mark will appear next to the selected list to indicate the selection.
  • Select Edit list name
  • Select letters or numbers from the number buttons to Spell out desired name
  • The name should be of maximum eight characters including spaces.
  • A list must have at least one character
  • Two lists should not have the same name
  • Select the back option from the number buttons to delete undesired characters.
  • Select the save option to save all changes to the Favorite list.
