Installers have to find out the suitable mounting place with a clear southern view, modem location and NEC, state and local compliant ground source. The mounting and wiring requirements have to be verified with subscribers. For all WildBlue installations, New and approved solid copper coax, connectors and ground block are needed. When DirecTV also has to be installed, then installers have to make sure that both have line of sight before proceeding installation.

After the site survey is over, installers have to assemble the equipment. Highly trained technicians will assemble ODU without reflector and the azimuth and elevation adjustment mechanisms. Set the mounting plate to 90°. Attach the mounting plates to the chosen surface, tightening them carefully so as to avoid damage. Connect boom arm to back assembly, sub-reflector and TRIA to boom arm. The reflector has to be connected to the back assembly, the ground wire from TRIA and the ODU to the mount.

System Installation

For System Installation, boom arm elevation, polarity and APA setting will be obtained from QuickFlash Page of WB Service portal. Peak Azimuth and Elevation using dithering bolts. Approved cables and connectors have to be used to connect ground block and cabling. The distance from ODU to modem has to be measured approximately. Installers need to name all cables at each connection. At the end of installation, all entry points have to be sealed.

Modem & PC Installation

Modem has to be installed in a comfortable airy area. It will take 10 minutes to get the final modem lock. PC has to be rebooted and connect the modem when PC is rebooting. Reboot modem by unplugging it from power and reconnect, if required. Now, Modem will receive a private IP.

WildBlue Provisioning

Installers will be taken automatically to the WildBlue Provisioning Portal when they open Internet Explorer. Setup Email Account/Education

After setting up the installation, installer will provide training session on basic functionality of equipment. Installers have to setup Email Account for subscribers. They need to help subscribers in creating their account with the same user name and password used during provisioning. It is the primary duty of the installer to educate subscribers, how to access and login in to their account and Google mail screens. Subscribers should learn from installer how to add the WildBlue usage gadget. Installers should instruct subscribers to go through the welcome kit. At the end of installation, subscribers need to sign the paper work.

The installation of WildBlue is easy to access and thereafter subscribers can enjoy the service. WildBlue has an official forum with highly trained technicians. The service will be renewed automatically on a month to month basis. If subscribers wish to cancel WildBlue before the specified period, then they need to pay $15 as a termination fee.
